The Great Wall and Ming Tombs

Badaling secton of the Great Wall locates in 75 kilomtres northwest of Beijing City. The construction of the Great wall began in the 5th century B.C..East of it is Shanhaiguan and west is Jiayuguan in Spring-Autumn and War Period. It is one of the greatest construction programs in China and the length is over 6000 kilometers(12000 li). The Badaling Pass is the most important pass of the Great Wall. The Ming Tombs is famous for which 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried. Changling the tomb of Emperor Yong Le is the biggest and the first of Ming Tombs in Beijing.

The Forbidden city, The Temple of Heaven and The Summer Palace

  The Summer Palace is the best preserved royal garden in Beijing. There are about 3000 sites in the garden. With a concentration of the best of ancient buildings as well as styles of gardening,it is a virtual museum of traditonal Chinese gardening.
  The Lama Temple located in the northeast of Beijing,is the biggest lamasery in Beijing city. The construction began in 1694 and its style is combined with Han and Tibet.There are many precious Buddhist articles and imperial stuffs by many emperors after Emperor Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty.
  Panda is a rare and endangered species,found in the wild only in remote mountain areas in southewestern China,and is sometimes called a "living fossil".It feeds mainly on bamboo shoots,stalks,branches and leaves,its unusual markings,slow and clumsy movements and gentle disposition have made it a popular attraction for the people especially the youth all over the world.

The square is immense(covering 44 hectares,it is the largest city centre square in the world) and full of tourists from all parts of China every day.   The Forbidden City Which located in centre of Beijing is the imperial palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties. It's the grandest palatial complex in China.The Temple of Heaven is the biggest temple complex in China and is the place where Chinese emperors worshipped the God of Heaven and prayed for good harvest.

This is another section of the Great Wall worth to see.It gives you a different view from the Badaling section. This tour is available every Sunday afternoon.(Duration:6 hours)
